Surrounded by fields between the village and the sea
Trenance Farm is set in 13 acres of countryside half way between Mullion Village and Mullion Cove.
The surrounding coastline, mostly National Trust owned, is truly magnificent, with small sandy swimming/surfing coves and rugged
cliffs adorned with rare plants and flowers.
Trenance Farm
Trenance Farm is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. Many stories are told of smugglers, revenue men, murders
and ghosts. However, Trenance is now a relaxing retreat and the perfect base
for exploring the unique and magical Lizard Peninsula, an area of Outstanding
Natural Beauty.
The Farmyard Cottages
The old farm outbuildings have been converted into comfortable holiday cottages situated
around the old farmyard and farmhouse. The cottages retain the original Cornish granite facing stones
and thick stone walls.
Relax in the Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is open from late May to early September. Surrounded by plants and flowers, the area around the swimming pool provides a
beautiful suntrap, perfect for relaxing between dips in the pool.
A play area for children
There is a safe play area with two games rooms, one with a small snooker table, the other with table tennis. Tourist
information and advice on 'where to go' and 'what to do' is displayed in the games rooms.
WIFI is available in the games rooms.
You can also enjoy ball games and kite flying in the lower field.
The Local Area
The coastline is truly magnificent, with small sandy swimming/surfing coves and rugged cliffs adorned

Britain's longest national trail, The South West Coast Path, follows the coast of the Lizard peninsula.
The western coastline of the Lizard peninsula is designated both as a National Park and a Heritage Coastline.
The Local Coastline
The local coastline is spectacular forming part of the southwest heritage coastline. Walk across the fields from Trenance
to the cliff tops. When you arrive at the coast you can turn left to enjoy the views of Mullion Cove or turn right to Polurrian Cove which is
ideal for swimming.
Walk the Soaprock Trail
In the mid 1700's The Soaprock Coast was an important industrial landscape contributing directly
to the birth of the English porcelain industry.
Soapstone porcelain was first made in Bristol in 1748, later the Bristol factory was taken over to become Royal Worcester
which also took over the licence to quarry soapstone at Gew-Graze "Soapy Cove" midway along The Soaprock Coast which
runs from Mullion Cove in the North to Caerthillian Cove in the South.
